Cetona - private villa

Cetona, Siena
Interior design&construction, gardening&swimming pool (2017)

A farm consisting of a main building and its guest annexe, inside a private park with a swimming pool. The renovation, which lasted about two years, was global, with the demolition and reconstruction of the building called "agricultural annex" and the total internal reconstruction of the main one, as well as the construction of the swimming pool and the entire design of the park within which a relaxation area with solarium and whirlpool has been created.
Although the complex had already been revisited several times, losing many of its original requirements, an attempt was made to preserve the flavor of the Tuscan farmhouse, characterized by colors and purely local materials.
A floor in large slabs of light-colored terracotta, hand-made by a famous Tuscan furnace, dominates the entire ground floor, while the upper floor, connected by a local stone staircase, is heated by a floating wooden floor.
The tones are soft, the spaces functional and usable contextually by several people in full respect of mutual privacy.
The result is a warm balance between material, colors and lights.
